FLU Season is here:
Biggers Family Medicine has flu vaccines available; both regular and high dose. The flu vaccine is the most effective way to reduce your chances of getting the flu. Even if you do get the flu after being vaccinated, the illness is likely to be milder and less severe than if you hadn't been vaccinated. Studies show vaccination can reduce the risk of flu-related hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and deaths.
Lab and Imaging results:
Biggers Family Medicine believes in keeping our patients informed and engaged in their healthcare. Testing and imaging results are always provided to our patients with instructions or comments from the provider. Please read below for instructions on how you can receive the results of your particular study:
Portal: Our easy to use patient portal is the fastest and most convenient way to obtain your results. Providers post results along with follow-up instructions on abnormal findings. This is the primary way to get your test results.
Follow Up Appointment: You can make a follow-up appointment with any of our providers to discuss your lab results in detail. Serious or complicated findings will require a follow-up appointment.
If you have a chronic condition your labs can be followed up at your next routine visit in most cases.
We will contact you for any clinically significant abnormalities. If we are unable to reach you, a certified letter will be mailed directing you to schedule an appointment to review results.
As always you are welcome to copies of your results at any time by coming to the office. Explanations of the results may require a follow-up appointment.
**We do not mail letters or make calls for normal or insignificant findings on labs or imaging.**
Please click on “More” to see a listing of all the plans accepted by Biggers Family Medicine.
Self pay rates:
If you do not have insurance we offer a time of service discount at $75 per visit. This covers your costs for the consultation with the provider. Lab work, if needed, would be an additional cost.
Claiming a disability?:
An appointment is required for all FMLA, short/Long term disability. Patients who need documents and forms completed for the purposes of claiming a disability are required to bring in their own forms. Biggers Family Medicine is not responsible for providing these and we do not maintain a database of required forms.
Late arrival policy:
Patient appointments are scheduled every 20 minutes. As a result we ask all patients who arrive 20 minutes or more late to their appointment to reschedule to another available day or time slot. This helps ensure that all patients have adequate time with their scheduled provider.

New and established patients can register in our portal to schedule appointments, exchange messages with the practice, view test results, and view statements.
